A rhetorical figure that shows comparison or likeness of two objects through some comparitive word such as like or as.

Curley was flopping like a fish on a line.

Synecdoche

Metaphor that uses a part of a whole to take its place.

Farmer Joe has three hundred cattle and three hired hands.

Symploce

Combining andphora and epistrophe, so that one word or phrase is repeated at the begging and another word or phrase at the end of successive phrases, clauses, or sentences.

Understatement

Representing in a weak or restrained way that is not borne out of the facts.

Our "Space"

Our "Space." What do you think when the phrase is said? For most, the phrase makes them think of the immediate area surrounding them. I want to expand this "space," and extend it to our solar system, our galaxy, our universe, and even into the possibilities of alternate universes. Many questions about such things have been asked throughout history and I intend on bringing them out in this blog, I will be giving my own thoughts and  reviews to the thoughts of scientists today and from history. Subjects I intend on talking about include the exploration of Mars, the possibilities of multiple universes, the study of dark energy, and a look into string theory. This is a look into our "space" from the eyes of a senior in high school.
